The author wrote this book for all those who are either raising handicapped children or working with them in a job. Foster parents, relatives, school teachers and aides dealing with various handicapped individuals are dealing with different attitudes in every day challenges. This book was written from her and her late husband’s experiences dealing with their family members, friends, neighbors and school districts. She hopes to open up some people’s minds on how handicapped children are viewed and treated! None of us are perfect, for sure, and we have to try to see the value of people who are different than what society dictates is normal.
