No film was as seminal in the Universal Studios “classic monsters” canon than 1932’s THE MUMMY. This 75th Anniversary Tribute DVD pays homage to the film’s stars, themes, and characters. Featuring host Ivonna Cadaver, the DVD includes an exclusive interview with Sara Karloff, star Boris Karloff’s daughter, and fantasy meetings with a recreated Im Ho Tep, the Egyptian prince and villain in the original film, plus Jack Pierce, the makeup artist who created the original mummy characters of Im Ho Tep and Ardath Bey. Additionally there are interviews with participants, still galleries, and brand new graphics and props included – especially a fully recreated bust of Im Ho Tep in his sarcophagus, sculpted by Brent Armstrong. This not-for-profit project was created by Scott Essman and members of the Art Institute of California – Orange County.
